二、语法和从句分析

1. 开头感谢句（书信常用开头）：Thank you for your last letter. 结构为 Thank you for + 名词 / 动名词，表示“为……而感谢”。
2. 近况句型（现在进行时表近况）：Everything is going well here in Shenzhen. go well 意为“进展顺利”，现在进行时用于描述当前近况。
3. 现在完成时表“已经做到”：I have made a new friend. have + 过去分词 made，强调“已经交了朋友”这一结果。
4. 并列结构描述性格与爱好：He is kind and helpful, and he loves playing basketball. 用 and 并列形容词与句子；love doing sth. 表示长期喜好。
5. 频率与时间状语：We often play it after class. ... we practise twice a week. often / twice a week 表频率，after class 作时间状语。
