1The story of Thomas Edison shows how a brilliant idea can solve a difficult problem.

2Thomas Edison was an inventor who faced many difficult problems.
托马斯·爱迪生是一位面对许多难题的发明家。
3One day, he wanted to find a way to give people light at night.

4The problem seemed difficult to solve, but Edison never gave up.
这个问题看起来很难解决，但爱迪生从不放弃。
5He kept trying different things, even when the ideas seemed completely crazy.

6Edison came up with a brilliant idea.

7He used a special material in a glass bulb and tested it again and again.

二、语法和从句分析（范文句型）

1. how 引导宾语从句：“The story ... shows how a brilliant idea can solve...”中 how 引导宾语从句。
2. who 引导定语从句：“an inventor who faced many difficult problems”中 who 指人，引导定语从句修饰 inventor。
3. 不定式作定语 / 宾语：“a way to find / to give people light; seemed difficult to solve; tried to do everything”中不定式分别作定语、宾补和宾语。
4. keep + 现在分词：“He kept trying different things”中 keep doing 表“持续做”。
5. even when 引导让步状语从句：“...even when the ideas seemed completely crazy”中 even when 表“即使当”。
6. 现在完成时表持续影响：“It has helped ... and has influenced ... for more than a century”中现在完成时强调对现在的影响。
